Encompassing the rainforest beauty of Mt Tamborine and the emerald countryside of Albert River and Canungra, is the Gold Coast Hinterland. This wine region features many cellar doors, vineyards and boutique wineries producing winning wines. From the cooler climate of Mt Tamborine through to the milder climates of Albert River and Canungra Valley, the region allows a diverse range of wines.

Apart from fabulous wineries, cellar doors and fabulous food, this region includes an abundance of subtropical rainforests and national parks, mountain villages, art galleries, and other hidden treasures. Visit the country markets at Mt Tamborine, held second Sunday every month, or one of the many concerts and events held at individual wineries on Mt Tamborine as well as “Springtime on the Mountain”, held at Mt Tamborine in September.
How to get there
Half an hour from the Gold Coast and an hour from Brisbane. Take Exit 57 from the Pacific Motorway, coming from Brisbane, and follow the brown signs “Tourist Drive 8” and experience the Gold Coast Hinterland Food and Wine Trail.
